The 2012 Collaborative Events Committee held its first meeting in 2012 on January 20th at ACE offices. Discussion led by Sherri Wall McMillen, Chair and Lisa White, Co-Chair were to obtain interest from membership about hosting two to three seminars for our GMDM members this year. More to follow.

Many thanks to Sherri and Lisa for coordinating a very successful Collaborative Events Committee during 2011. Our two seminars were a huge success. Sherri has agreed to chair the committee again with Lisa as her co-chair. Thanks Gals for a job Well Done!

The ICD-10 Training Workshop entitled "The Biggest Loser or Survivor" on October 4th was a "sell out" with 60 in attendance. Many thanks to Cynthia Robinson with DMJ did an excellent job facilitating the meeting. The timeline of October 1, 2012 is fast approaching. Now is the time to prepare. Many thanks to Amber Popham & Zach Sinclair with Medical Mutual Insurance Company for sponsoring the event.

GMDM Employee Handbook Essentials Workshop

The April Employee Handbook Seminar was a huge success! Hosted by the Collaborative Events Committee, Deborah Hall with DMJ led this very informative workshop at Trinity Church on Tuesday, April 5th for 54 GMDM members and some business community guests. Many thanks to Piedmont Orthopedics for sponsoring the Breakfast. Thanks to Lisa White and Sherri Wall McMillen for their leadership and to Donna Josey for handling the reservations. Seventeen member companies exhibited their company booths and materials.

The Collaborative Events Committee met February 15th to discuss a GMDM seminar that will address the "Employee Handbook Essentials". Deborah Hall with DMJ will be facilitating the event at a sight to be determined.
